What a wonderful smoothie I had today - October 26th, 2014.
Started with
8oz. Unsweetened Almond milk (30cal)
1 banana (90cal)
1 cup frozen peaches/blueberries (50cal)
5 basil leaves (0)
2 handful baby spinach leaves (5cal)
1 tablespoon chia seeds (soaked in water for about 10 min)(o cal)
** I put in blender just as I have posted here. I reserve a little water incase the blender needs a bit more liquid. I add more spinach or kale to give it a greener look. If you are using a full cup of blueberries, your smoothie will be purple. I don't really care for the color if I don't add more spinach.
I have figured the calories to be about 175. Not many calories at all. This makes about 10 OZ of drink. I have a double lined clear glass and keep it in the fridge so my smoothie is always cold.
Have a wonderful day and smoothie on.

Whats in your blender today?
I was thinking about what smoothie I was going to have today.
I chose:
8 oz Unsweetened Almond Milk
1 banana
6 strawberries
6 leaves of basil
handful of spinach (enough to make it green but not too green)
Optional: Chia seeds soaked for about 5 minutes in water.
It was delish. Not sure of the calories, but estimate about 150.
I don't have one of those new powerful blender. The blender I use was bought in 1981 when I moved to Lake Placid. It still works great. The base is a bit scratched but it BLENDS and that is what it is supposed to do. Right?
I looked for a long time in the grocery store for the Chia seeds and could not find them. Finally found them in Nori's in Saranac Lake. Should have looked there first. Not I know for next time.
